My poems are bare as a skeleton in the nude
Bare as a stark naked princess…
A princess?

Bare as this woman, so full of ambition,
Convinced of her own lovability,
Whose parents assure her with much repetition
That it had to be wrong,
And could never last long
If she ever experienced hostility.
